NORTH EAST GOVERNORS URGED TO BOOST SOCIO ECONOMIC STATUS OF THE REGION

North East Governors have been requested to evolve new strategies aimed at boosting the socio economic activities of the sub region.
The General Manager Yankari Games Reserves Bauchi, Dr Nasiru Muhammad Yusuf who made the call during the Bauchi Day at the ongoing Joint North East Domestic Trade at IBB Square said with concerted efforts activities of the sub region would be revived for sustainable development.
Dr Nasiru Muhammad said the domestic trade fair will strengthen the existing relationship between the Northeastern states and open trade opportunities among the business communities.
He said the exhibition of local and traditional attires and costumes by people of diverse background has exposed visitors and guests to the culture and traditions of various ethnic groups in the sub region.
The Yankari Games Reserve General Manager applauded Governor Bala Muhammad for bringing the state to the forefront among the North Eastern States in terms of development and urged others to emulate.
Dr Nasiru said the door is open for any investor willing to explore the tourism potentials of the state across its tourism attractions to include Yankari Games Reserve, Sumu Wildlife park, Maladumba lake and Babban Gwani in Kafin Madaki among others.
