Kano Police Arrest 149 Suspects in 10 Days, Vow to Eradicate Thuggery

In a bid to tackle thuggery and criminal activities, the Kano State Police Command has arrested 149 suspects in a 10-day special raid led by the new Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba.

Speaking while journalist at the Police Headquarters in Kano, CP Salman Dogo Garba who Spoke through the Public Relations Officer of the Command SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said the suspects, including 106 suspected thugs, 25 armed robbers, and others, were apprehended within the First ten days of CP Salman Dogo Garba as the CP of Kano .

He said items recovered during the raid include weapons, drugs, and other criminal paraphernalia.

CP Dogo Garba expressed optimism that intensified patrols and collaborations with stakeholders will lead to the eradication of thuggery and other crimes in the state.

The Police Command urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly.

He said the Command also appreciated the support and cooperation of law-abiding citizens and encouraged community involvement in combating security threats.

CP Salman Dogo Garba added that the Kano Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents.
