Hearty Hands Humanity Foundation Empowers’ 50 Women In Yobe State.

A Non governmental organization “Hearty Hands Humanity Foundation” has empowered a group of Fifty (50) women on the production of groundnut oil and cake.

Inaugurating the beneficiaries, the founder of the NGO Princess Aishatu Bubaram, said the foundation seeks to improve the lives of underprivileged citizens especially women and children, with special attention on malnourished children, and to encourage child education and capacity building for women.

She explained that the foundation intends to complement governments’ effort and also give the needed support to parents most especially women.

Commenting on the level of achievements by the foundation, Princess Aishatu express the joy that the foundation has recorded outstanding performance over a two years period of its existence.

She called on well to do individuals in the Society to give out helping hands to their immediate community, and Nigerians who are underserved, as no rendered help is too small.

The Chairman and Co-founder, Hearty Hands Humanity Foundation, Mr. M D Yusuf explained that the initiative which began its operation a few years ago was set up to complement the philanthropic efforts of HRH, Umaru Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya I, OON, the Emir of Potiskum.

He noted that the organization is focused on improving the lives of underserved women and children, as they are the base line beneficiaries.

Narrating her experience in the selection process of the beneficiaries, the project coordinator, Rayyanatu .M. Mahmud, said a vigorous background check was carried out to select the most suitable beneficiaries.

She noted that the program has a sustainability strategy, a suitable monitoring system to boost the performances of the beneficiaries, in addition to the training provided them.

Each beneficiary was given groundnuts, pot, grinding stone, joystick, bowl, measuring bottle, funnel, salt, and a token to buy firwood and grinding

The occasion which took place in Potiskum, had in attendance Hajiya Hassana Yusuf Umar, Wife to the Yobe State Commissioner for Religious Affairs and Ethical Re-orientation, as the Chairman of the occasion, Board of Trustee Members of the Foundation, other respected dignitaries, and Members of the Press.
