Senator Shehu Buba Umar Commissions Construction of Road Project Worth Over Eighty Million Naira in Bauchi South.

The member representing Bauchi South in the Senate, Senator Shehu Buba Umar has flagged off construction of a two and half kilometers road at Zaranda village in Jama’a District of Toro local government area.
Speaking at the flagg off ceremony at Zaranda, Senator Shehu Buba Umar said the project is part of the fulfilment of his campaign promises to provide dividence of democracy to the people especially rural dwellers.
” … In deed during my electioneering campaign two days to the election day to Zaranda, the complain of the people was the road, and I pledged that when given the mandate I’ll make sure that it has been constructed, today I’ve fulfilled my promise…”
He said.
Senator Shehu Buba Umar who expressed concern that Toro local government has been long left behind in terms of the provision of infrastructure noted that more people oriented projects and Programmes will be initiated for them to have sense of belonging.
“…. the project which is to be completed within four weeks is captured in the 2024 budget is part of my consituency project to be executed under Federal Ministry of Works…” Senator Shehu Buba said.
He called on the people of the area to ensure protection of the workers and their equipment and should resist intimidation from group or anybody no matter how highly placed he may be in the society as more projects are in the pipeline.
“… another constituency projects captured in 2024 budget and are out, which will be commissioned very soon are the road projects under ecological fund from office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is the road from Corner Ma’aji Shittu–Jaji to Nabordo ….” He explained.
The Lawmaker maintained that people of the area are farmers and businessmen stressing that the road will boost their economic activities when completed within four weeks.
” ….. I have no doubt in my mind that the road when completed will boost economic activities of the people along the axis as must of them are farmers and business men …” The Lawmaker said.
Earlier speaking, the state APC Chairman Alhaji Mohammad Hassan who commended the Lawmaker for initiating numerous Interventions, empowerments programmes and people’s oriented projects enjoined him to sustain for people to have confidence in him.
Alhaji Muhammad Hassan called on the party members to be united and focus for the party to succeed, comes 2027.
In their good will messages some of the party chieftains Alhaji Bashir Bukar Rimin Zayam and Barrister Ibrahim Umar who commended Senator Shehu Buba Umar for the flagg off of the road construction urged other politicians to emulate.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the road project is awarded at cost of over eighty million naira.
