Youth in the Country charge safeguard the future of Nigeria Former Bauchi Gov

Youth in the country have been urged to choose leaders who will transform the narrative and align it with the ideals of the nation’s founding fathers.

The 15th executive governor of Bauchi State, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar, gave the advice during the first Youth Summit organized in Bauchi.

Muhammad Abubakar emphasized that the current leadership has jeopardized the future of the youth, highlighting the necessity for young people to critically evaluate their leaders and seek lasting solutions to the challenges facing the country.

He proudly noted that he was the only governor who effectively utilized an 8.6 billion naira bailout by Buhari ‘s admisttration to settle four months of salary arrears inherited from his predecessor, subsequently injecting it into the state’s economy.

The former governor stated that he made intentional investments in education and youth empowerment to safeguard the future of the state. He pledged that, if given another opportunity, he would continue to prioritize these areas.

Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion Arch Audu Suke Katagun, encouraged the youth to combat corruption, respect constituted authority, and embrace their religious teachings.

He advised them to avoid the temptation of seeking quick wealth, which could compromise their integrity and the nation’s future.

One of the guest speakers, Dr. Patience Abbo from Adamawa, asserted that the days of neglecting women in governance are over.

She urged women to pursue their dreams and encouraged parents to support them in their endeavors.

The event culminated in the presentation of plaques to several dignitaries, including former Governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar.
