2379 vulnerable persons to benefit from palliative distribution

In continuation with the palliative distribution in Gombe state, the Committee in charge of the distribution has flagged off the distribution of food and nonfood items in the Kwami Local Government Area.

The exercise was performed by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, represented by his Deputy Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau.

Performing the event, the Governor noted that his administration shall never relent in discharging its responsibilities of responding to the needs of the people.

Debunking the insinuations that the hardship is caused by the APC administration the Governor explained that it is not only affecting Nigeria but a global issue.

He called on the people especially youths to engage in farming and other legitimate means of earning livelihood and increasing incomes as a way of mitigating the effects of the hardship.

The Chairman State Steering Committee for Distribution of Palliatives, and Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA said, that in Kwami Local Government,Two Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy people shall benefit, comprising Ten beneficiaries from the Two Hundred and Thirty-Seven Polling Units of the Local Government.

He called on the respective Committees to ensure judicious distribution of the items consisting of Rice(5kg), Fertilizer (2bags), spaghetti (1carton), and Agrochemicals (2litres).

The Senior District Head of Kwami, Alh. Aminu Haruna Abdullahi applauded Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s concern for the traditional institutions in the state and pledged the total support of his district to the administration for the continued transformation of the state.
