Acting CBN Governor, AGF and others appeared before House of Reps Committee.

Barely a week after the Adhoc Committee on Ecological Funds and Great Green wall investigating the utilization of the Ecological Fund for the Great Green Wall summoned the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),the Accountant General of Federation and other Stakeholders.
Today,The Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Permanent Secretary Ecological Funds,DG National Agency for the Great Green Wall,Representative from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation,Representatives from 11 Front line states and other Stakeholders concerns appeared before the committee.
The adhoc Committee Chairman Rep. Dabo Ismail Haruna (APC, Bauchi) said,the key mandate of the Committee is to investigate the Utilisation of Ecological Funds for the great Green wall and seek their collaboration while carrying their Constitutional legislative duty.
He promised to work according to the legal frame work and Constitutional provisions that will ensure the effective implementation of the funds for the benefits of the country and the front line states in particular in the future.
Recall,The House had in July passed a resolution which resolved to set up an adhoc Committee that will investigate the utilization of the ecological fund and all the contracts awarded to various contractors for the project from 2015 to date.It concludes.
