Bauchi To Reposition Public Service, Trains Exco Members, Perm Secs

The Three-Day Retreat Organized for members of Bauchi State Executive Council has ended with a call on the participants to take advantage of digital technology in running government business for effective service delivery.
The State Government has also been asked to initiate policies and programmes geared towards repositioning critical sectors of Health, Agriculture, Education and wealth creation for the overall development of the state.
Similarly, the government has been enjoyed to reintroduce Societal Re-orientation Programme in an effort to change the mindset of citizens including public and civil servants towards addressing challenges of corruption and deviant behavior.
These were part of the communique issued at the end of the retreat organized by office of the State Head of Civil Service in collaboration with Office of Secretary to the State Government.
Speaking at the end of the programme, the State Governor Bala Mohammed said building the capacity of top government officials would go along way in actualizing his administration quest to better the lives of citizens.
He appreciated all the submissions and recommendations made by resource persons and the participants assuring of effective implementation.
In their separate remarks, some of the resource persons Professor Sabo Sagagi and former Executive Secretary Tertiary Education Trust Fund Professor Sulaiman Elias Bogoro who described the initiative as apt called on the participants to use the knowledge acquired in a manner that would improve their productivity.
On the need to monitor the performance of the participants, Chairman of the occasion Dr. Usman Bugaje said actionable points would be presented to the government for subsquent implementation.
The Three-Day Retreat featured paper presentations, Discussion and recommendations by experts from various disciplines.
