KNSG To Collaborate With NOA on Public Awareness

Kano state government (KNSG),has reiterated it’s commitment to collaborate with the national orientation agency (NOA),to enlighten the public about government policies and programs.

The State Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye made the indication, while receiving the management of NOA Kano directorate, led by the state director in his office.

This was contained in a statement, signed by the director Special duties, Kano State Ministry of Information ,Sani Abba Yola,and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

According to him,the significance of orientation and awareness creation can not be overemphasized, and tasked the agency to ensure that, government’s programmes and policies are well understood by the general public.

The commissioner pointed out that, his ministry would support NOA, by involving the agency in sensitization programme, for the benefit of people.

Earlier, the state Director, National Orientation Agency, Kano State Directorate, Alhaji Salisu Waziri Kutama, explained that,the purpose of the visit was to seek collaboration with the state government, on sensitization campaigns.

He congratulated Halilu Baba Dantiye for his appointment as the Commissioner of information.

In another development, the Commissioner also received management team of Saye Vocational Training Centre Kano.

The Commissioner reiterated government’s readiness to empower youths in the state, through entrepreneurship skills, to reduce unemployment in the state.

Dantiye pledged to collaborate with vocational training centres,addinh that, skills acquisition and vocational training is a priority of the state government.

Earlier, the Managing Director, Saye Vocational Training Centre Yushe’u Abdu Saye said the centre provides free training to youths on various skills to becime self-reliant and solicited government’s support to expand their training programmes.
