He also highlighted that the original master plan of the estate is being implemented, with new facilities currently under construction.

These include perimeter fencing of the estate for enhanced security, the development of drainage systems, and the establishment of security outposts and barracks to safeguard residents.

He emphasised that the project, which had been on hold for years, is finally coming to fruition under the present administration.

The Managing Director, Adamawa State Mortgage Bank, Dauda Mohammed Galadima, has disclosed that part of the payment modalities includes seeking funding support from the Family Homes Fund and the Federal Mortgage Bank to ease access for workers, an arrangement he said will enable workers to domicile their salaries with the bank and make monthly payments, while also giving room for those with additional income sources to make upfront payments if they choose.

Also speaking, Chairman of the Joint Committee, Nyalas Batholomew who expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on behalf of organised labour, emphasised that affordability analysis was a critical factor in the allocation process as he assured that any worker who can afford the scheme will be allowed to purchase a house under the arrangement.
