Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has warned the newly appointed 33 special Advisers and Assistants to avoid laxity and impunity in discharging the responsibility given to them.

The Governor gave the warning during a swearing-in occasion held at Banquet Hall Government House.

According to him, there are so many unfortunate narrations about public service delivery and result rips from billion of naira spends every year in Jigawa state”.

He said, they are in government to tackle these challenges, such as high rate of child and maternal mortality, high rate of out of school children and poverty rate.

Namadi pointed out that, they will improve the state agricultural productivity, learning outcome, access to quality basic healthcare, wealth generation, growth and development.

“We have 12 point agenda designed as a framework in our cause to make “Jigawa Great” to achieve this we must work hard, embraced the spirit of patriotism, selfless commitment, fair and just , avoid laxity and impunity in delivering our public responsibility “

The Governor however, assured the new appointees that he will do everything possible to give them enabling environment for their work, but warned that he will not accept anything short of result .

Radio Nigeria reports that, the Governor had so far appointed over 150 special Advisers and Assistants aimed at operating all inclusive government with effective representation down to the grassroots.
