The New Commissioner of Police Nasarawa State Command Mr. Shehu Nadada has assumed duty.

The State Police Public Relation Officer DSP Ramhan Nansel, in a statement, said Shehu Nadada takes over from Maiyaki Mohammed-Baba who recently retired from service.

The Statement explained that, Shehu Nadada who hails from Kano State, was enlisted into the Nigeria Police force on May 18, 1992 and had served at various capacity within the last 31 years in Service.

The new Police Commissioner holds BSc in Applied Biology from Bayero University, Kano and Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University A.B.U., Zaria.

The CP before his posting to Nasarawa State served as Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nasarawa State Command.

The PPRO therefore said that the new CP solicited the support and collaboration of public to tackle criminal elements in the state.

He also appealed to the public to provide the police with useful information to decisively deal with the scourge of crime in the state.
