IMAN Offers Free Medical Care To Bauchi Community

Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN), Bauchi State Chapter has conducted free surgeries for about forty people on different ailments in Wintin Dada community of Bauchi local government area.
The free medical exercise is part of the Association’s routine outreaches aimed at offering humanitarian service to the people, especially the indigents.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the free medical intervention at Wintin Dada Primary Health Care Center, the Team Leader of the surgical team, Hassan Abdullahi said the aim was to provide medical care to people who cannot afford it.
Hassan Abdullahi said most of the patients that were screened and undergone surgeries include those with Appendices among other common illnesses.
He appreciated the state government for the provision of enabling environment towards ensuring hitch free medical outreach.
In an interview, the leader of the consultation team, Dr Abubakar Ibrahim Zakariyya said the team at Kurmin Dorawa was offering general consultation on issues such as Ophthalmic, Dental, Gynecology, Hypertension and Mental health.
Dr Abubakar Zakariyya, who is an Ophthalmologist with ATBUTH Bauchi, said patients with different eye disease such as Cataract, glaucoma, allergy and eye pain undergone consultations and have been administered drugs and the ones that need surgery were booked for the free conduct at the hospital in few weeks.
Some of the beneficiaries spoken to, Abdurrahman Idris, Harira Umar, Musa Bawa and Hajara Musa expressed appreciation to IMAN for the free medical care and pledged to strictly adhere to the medical advice and specifications.
