NIPOST Bauchi Celebrates its Golden 150 Years of Existence

Bauchi office of the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST has joined its counterparts across the Globe to celebrate the World Post day and its 150 years anniversary.
The World Postal Day which is being celebrated on the ninth of every October, the NIPOST staff and other key stakeholders have taken to the streets to enlighten people on the activities of the agency in the state.
The state Postal Manager Mr Ogbu Celestine during exclusive interview with Radio Nigeria reporter after the road work said the agency is responsible for providing postal services in Nigeria.
Mr Ogbu Celestine explained that the purpose of organizing the road work was to sensitize the public on the NIPOST activities and solicited support and collaboration from other government agencies and private organizations to enable them succeed.
He said NIPOST being member of the Universal Postal Union UPU has series of events and activities to serve people across the world hence the need for people to patronize its service for optimal results.
The state Postal Manager said the theme for this year’s celebration is, 150 Years of Enabling Communication and Empowering People Across Nations is unique considering the number of the years in active service.
“…I don’t want to mention names but must of the private postal services patronize us where we charge them less then repackage it for onward delivery…” He explained.
