The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency BASHCMA, Alhaji Ibrahim Inuwa Duguri, has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing update and enrolment of over 8,000 vulnerable persons into the scheme under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).

Alhaji Ibrahim Duguri made this known while leading the agency’s delegation on an inspection visit to selected centres in three Local Government Areas of the state.

The team visited Kofar Dumi, Miri, Kariya, and Lusa Primary Health Care facilities in Bauchi, Bogoro, and Ganjuwa Local Government Areas.

According to the BASHCMA Executive Secretary, the inspection aimed to assess compliance with the enrolment procedures.

He commended the communities visited for their orderly conduct and encouraged others across the state to emulate them.

Some of the beneficiaries interviewed, including Saliha Abdullahi from Miri, Lami Abubakar from Kofar Dumi, and the Chairman of the Ward Development Committee of Kariya ‘A’, Sale Muhammad Sunusi, expressed gratitude to the state government for the initiative.

They noted that the programme would reduce their out-of-pocket expenses for healthcare services.
The District Head of Miri, Alhaji Hussaini Abubakar, also praised Governor Bala Mohammed for his people-oriented policies and programmes, urging residents to continue supporting his administration.
