First Female Chief Judge in Kano state sworn in by Gov. Yusuf

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano state has called on the to judiciary to expedite action in ensuring effective service delivery while discharging their constitutional responsibility.

Governor Yusuf disclosed this during the swearing-in ceremony of the first female Chief Judge in the state, at Government House can’t.

He said his administration’s was committed in ensuring that illegal structures were demolished and recovering public properties aimed at development of the state.

The governor expressed his dismay on how the immediate past administration demolish schools, hospitals and other public places only to build shopping complex for business.

He described the relationship between the judiciary, legislature and executive as not competitive, but complementary, and promised to continue to maintain cordial relationships among the three arms of government.

The Governor described Justice Dije Audu Aboki as an experienced and dedicated judge , stressing that these were the reason behind her success in the profession.

“While i congratulate you on this well-deserved appointment, may I also remind my Lord that this task is a daunting one which calls for total dedication and commitment for the peace, progress and stability of Kano state and Nigeria at large. “Governor Yusuf urged the new Chief judge not only to see this elevation as a call to duty but also as a Trust given to him by God to represent him in the affairs of men.

Responding, Justice Dije said she was grateful to God for the opportunity to serve and the privilege to be elevated to the position of Chief Judge of Kano state.

She promised to serve with integrity, honesty and justice as well as do her best to ensure that the rule of law is adhered to at all times.
