Governor Uba Sani inaugurates 5 mobile medical trucks.

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has inaugurated five Medical Mobile trucks to provide medical services to hard to reach communities.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe said, the Mobile Medical Trucks being inaugurated would boost healthcare services and enhance the wellbeing and survival of Kaduna State citizens.

Senator Uba Sani said the mobile truck will offer a range of services, including maternal, newborn and child health interventions, radiology services and all laboratory diagnosis of ailments such as malaria, HIV, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis and many more.

According to him, it will also serve as a vital tools for the ongoing disease surveillance while strengthening basic clinical services, referrals and linkages.

The governor further disclosed that, the mobile truck will equally provide a platform for regular advocacy, social and community mobilization activities and other campaigns.

“Our administration is committed to taking all necessary steps to make significant progress towards achieving universal health coverage. Our vision is to build and strengthen enhanced health system that is adequately equipped, well staffed with comprehensive, accessible and affordable services and that is oriented to deliver distanced standard of care.

“To this end, we undertook an innovative approach to better our state’s healthcare system. Among the initiatives we took, we have procured state of the art mobile diagnostic units which will facilitate the provision of quality diagnostics services to our far to reach, hard to reach and other underserved communities”

Earlier, the Chief of UNICEF Field Office Kaduna, Gerida Birukila who spoke on behalf of UNICEF, WHO and other Development partners congratulated governor Uba Sani for his one hundred days in office.

She commended the state government for inaugurating the mobile medical trucks, saying that it would reached many people who don’t have access to health care to improve their heath.

Gerida Birukila also appreciated government of Kaduna State and Ministry of Health for providing alot of support in the activity perticulerly provision of drugs , health workers and many others that is required.

“We like to thank the dedicated Health workers, we have seen them in the field, they are working sometimes in a very hard condition because of the weather in the hard to reach but Kaduna State is blessed with a very dedicated Health workers and community mobilizers”

According to Birukila UNICEF would continued supporting the government technically and financially as well as to ensure Kaduna state government improve the health of women and Children.
