Twenty-nine secondary school students in Yobe State have received the prize award of Barrister Kashim Musa Tumsah (KMT) for scoring 300 points and above in the 2025 Joint Administration and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination.

At the event held in Damaturu, the development advocate Kashim Musa Tumsah, represented by Hajiya Adama Balla, said his intervention in education aims to ensure every child from the grassroots to the city has a chance to succeed.

He explained that grassroots empowerment in education, especially for girls, is transforming entire families. Tumsah commended Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni for prioritizing the education sector, adding that the declaration of a state of emergency on education is yielding positive results.

Each of the 29 students received ₦100,000 for their performance.

In a remark, Ajiya Maina Kachalla, parent of one of the benefiting students, commended Barr. Kashim Musa Tumsah for the prize award, saying it encourages other children to focus more on their studies.

He urged well-meaning individuals in the state to emulate KMT.
