Yobe State Government To Address Education Deficit In The State.

Yobe State Ministry of Education says much is needed to be done in order to develop basic and secondary education in the state.

The acting education Secretary, Nguru Local Government Education Authority, Alh. Hamisu Ado Nguru, made the disclosure while addressing critical stakeholders in the sector.

He said this is an avenue to brainstorm on critical issues and chart on the next line of action between the managements of Local Education Authority.

Addressing the meeting, Alh Hamisu stressed that all hands must be on deck in order to take Education to all the nooks and crannies of the Local Government.

He explained that from inception, the present administration had declared state of emergency on Basic and Secondary Education.

He reminded them that the State Commissioner on Basic and Secondary Education Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris, and Chairman Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board, Prof. Musa Alabe whom earlier appealed to all Stakeholders to support the State government plan, in terms of providing qualitative Education at all levels, emphasized that provision of quality Education is the responsibility of all.

Shortly, after the meeting, the Ag. Education Secretary embarked on an assessment visit to some selected schools, and had also leased with representatives of the Nigerian Union of Teachers as well as some School Base Management Committees (SBMC).
