General Buratai commends Gombe Govt for industrial Revolution

The Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai ( retired) has commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the Industrialization and overall development of Gombe State.

The retired General made the remark when he visited the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park and the Dadinkowa Hydro Power Plant in the company of the Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau.

General Buratai expressed hope that with the level of the state government’s commitment, and the Muhammadu Buhari industrial park, Gombe state is going to become the Dubai of the North East and Nigeria.

He commended the initiative of establishing the plant and expressed hope that it will mitigate Nigeria’s power problems which have become a problem to the nation’s industries and productivity.

The retired Army Chief called on the consulting company to engage in corporate social responsibility in the areas of housing, education, health, and job creation to come to the aid of the host communities who were displaced from their vacations and lands.

While taking the Dignitaries around the Hydro Power Plant in Dadinkowa, Engineer Mahmud Tukur and the Chief Technical Officer of the plant, Engr Kabir Adamu Mohammed of MABON Nigeria Limited Consultants explained the operations of the plant pointing out that it is operating at the optimal performance level of 40 Megawatts.

The Deputy Governor who accompanied the Former Chief of Army Staff said Gombe state is committed to Industrialization, development, and improving the general welfare of the people through the creation of job opportunities.

Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau intimated to the Retired Military Chief how their administration employed a non-schooled technologist as a Lecturer in the state university to encourage the youths to delve into innovations and creativity towards self-reliance and productivity.

Dr Manassah Jatau stressed that their administration would ensure the inclusion of Gombe State in hydro power-producing states.
