JSPWB Remits 100 Million Naira To NAHCON, Refunds N2 Million To 2022/2023 Pilgrims

Jigawa state pilgrims welfare board says it has remitted over 100 million naira hajj fares of some 2024 prospective pilgrims to national hajj commission NAHCON.
The Executive Secretary of the board Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.
He explained that 1,518 hajj seats was allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
According to him, the board has since distributed the allocation to all the 27 local government areas of the state for onward sales to prospective pilgrims.
He said, some of the 2024 intending pilgrims had already deposited the sum of 4.5 Million naira to the board, adding that they remitted over 100 Million naira to NAHCON while expecting to remit more hajj fares by next week for those who paid through the board.
Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo said that, as part of the board’s justice and fairness, they already screened and refund the sum of over 2 Million naira to 2022/2023 state pilgrims who were not able to sacrifice animal during the hajj exercise.
He said, the Saudi authorities has come up with a new law which takes effect from 2024 hajj operation.
The Executive Secretary pointed out that, the Saudi authorities want everything about hajj operation such as visa among others to be completed 50 days to Arafat.
Labbo therefore urged the state intending pilgrims to deposit and complete their hajj fares before end of December this year.
While commenting on accommodation, the Executive Secretary said the board will secure world standard accomodations close to Holy Mosque in Makkah for the state pilgrims to perform their rituals exercise at ease during next year’s Hajj exercise.
The pilgrims Boss, therefore urged on the state intending pilgrims to continue to cooperate with the board in order to achieve the desired objectives.
