Gombe Seeks Media Synergy to Tackle Security Challenges

The Gombe State Ministry for Internal Security has called on the media houses and practitioners to partner with the state government for a more informed society.
The commissioner for Internal Security, Honorable Abdullahi Bello, made the call during a courtesy visit to Radio Nigeria Jewel FM Gombe.
Honourable Abdullahi Bello said a well-informed society is a secure society and the fundamental security rule, is based on the premise of information, describing Information as security which is vital to every society.
He said the only way the government can effectively secure its citizens is when everyone plays their part, stressing the need for the media to partner with the government at all levels in sensitizing the public on the policies and programs of government for socio-economic development.
Responding, the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Jewel FM Gombe, Dr Garba Ubale Danbatta, who was represented by the head of Engineering, Engr Umar Salisu, said security and information work hand in hand and the station will not relent on its primary objectives of passing timely and accurate information to the public.
Also speaking, the Head of Programs, Ahmad Mohammed Daku, who commended the Gombe state government for a peaceful harvest season urged them to maintain the tempo in years to come.
