WINNERS OF NATIONAL QURANIC RECITATION COMPETITION FROM BAUCHI STATE GETS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD .

Bauchi State Government has provided Scholarship, Hajj seats and ten million naira cash to the winners and contingents of the just concluded National Qur’anic Recitation Competition held in Damaturu.

The State Governor Bala Muhammad stated this while receiving the Committee and contingents at government House Bauchi.

“The winners will be given scholarship to study in foreign universities “

Bala Muhammed said the overall winner and all the contingents have put the state on the global map, noting that the gesture would ginger others to come up and make the event more competitive.

He used the platform to call on Islamic Clerics in the State to unite irrespective of their sect or school of thought saying that unity is paramount in the propagation of Islam.

Earlier, the Chairman of the State Qur’anic Recitation Competition Committee Imam Hassan Usman Zango who disclosed that the overall winner of the national competition will represent Nigeria in Saudi Arabia, applauded Governor Bala Muhammad for prioritizing Islamic activities at all times.

In a remark, the State Commissioner Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza commended the contingents for their doggedness both at the state and National competitions.
” I commend them for their efforts during the competition “

The overall winner as well as the first and second 2nd runner up were given Hajj seats, Keke NAPEP and cash worth ten million naira, while members of the committee receives five Hajj seats and ten motorcycles.
