Adamawa State Gov’t approves 16bn for Construction of Fed. Housing estate road network

Adamawa State Government has approved the construction of seventeen kilometers Bajabure federal housing estate road network.

The commissioner of information and strategy, Neido Geoffrey Kofulto stated this while briefing newsmen shortly after the state executive council meeting held at the council chambers government house Yola.

The commissioner for information and strategy Neido Geoffrey Kofulto said the Bajabure federal housing estate is witnessing rapid development hence the need for the construction of the road network in order to ease movement for the residents of that area.

The commissioner said the contract for the construction of the road network was awarded to Triacta Nigeria limited at the contract sum of sixteen billion, one hundred and sixty two million, nine hundred and seventy seven thousand, six hundred and fifty naira, eight Kobo with the completion period of twelve months.

Also approved during the executive council meeting was the variation of seven hundred and forty million, four hundred and seven thousand, four hundred and thirty eight naira for the construction of road network in one thousand housing units in malkohi which was awarded to Jordanson Global limited, adding that this was also in line with the campaign promises made by governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Commenting on the approved construction works, the commissioner of works and energy development, Adamu Atiku Said 3.5 kilometers of the Bajabure federal housing estate is for ring roads 14.3 kilometers for internal Access road.

According to Adamu Atiku, the contractual firm will be mobilize to site hopefully by next month once the council’s extracts and contract award letter are ready.

Commenting further on the infrastructural approvals made by the executive council, the commissioner for education and Human capital development , Doctor Garba Umar Pella said they were made for the development of the state in line with re-calibrated eight point agenda of the fintiri led administration.

Garba Pella noted that the direction of the fintiri led administration is to urbanize the state capital and to make life easy for all residents.

The commissioner assured that at the completion of the works, residents of those areas will find it easier to move around.
