IMAN Gombe, Seek Public Support to Improve Health Care Services Delivery

The Islamic Medical Association Nigeria, IMAN, Gombe state chapter, has solicited the support of the general public towards the completion of its hospitals to complement the government’s efforts towards quality health care delivery in the state.

IMAN chairman, Malam Nasir Mohammed Ishaq made the call during a media parley held at the association’s secretariat conference hall, Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe.

Malam Nasir Mohammed said, the two hospitals, IMAN Medical Home located in the Tashan Dukku area, which will be due for commissioning by the end of the year and an uncompleted hospital after the Gombe state house of Assembly, requires about 60 million Naira to take off.

When completed, he explains it will serve as referral centres that will attend to the health problems of the general public irrespective of religious affiliations and at a subsidized rate.

The chairman therefore called on stakeholders in the health sector, wealthy individuals as well as the general public to join hands with its members and contribute to the associations wakf for ongoing reward.

Malam Nasir Mohammed, who said the association has 24 units across Gombe state, highlighted some of the association’s activities, health care literacy awareness, helping needy patients, mentorship, and financial assistance to its members, soliciting the support of the media in raising health care literacy amongst the populace.
