Save the Children donates Office equipments to Women’s Ministry in Borno.

Save the Children International has donated Office equipments to Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs to improve case management services handled by the Ministry.
Head of Programme Implementation Save the Children, Zakir Hussain stated this while handing over the equipments to the Acting Permanent Secretary Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Hamza.
Mr Zakir Hussain said Save the Children have been engaged in the institution support to government parastertals in the Northeast, especially those that has to do with Children in order to reach vulnerable ones.
Head of Programme Implementation Save the Children, explained that they are proceeding from humanitarian assistance to a long term recovery and development assistance to the People affected by conflict in the sub region.
He however added that their humanitarian interventions in Borno State will be limited to most vulnerable children in collaboration with other donor partners especially United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The Acting Permanent Secretary Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Hamza was full of joy after receiving the items and described the gesture as a huge boost in their mandate of supporting the Children in the State.
Alhaji Mohammed Hamza noted that Save the Children already sponsored the implementation of Children Parliament, domestication of Child rights acts conducted by the Ministry.
He assured that the items donated shall be utilize to programmes intended which the impact will also be felt by targeted group.
Items donated include five (5) tablets Samsung Galaxy, branded HP LaserJet Printer, a workstation, Office Cabinet, five office Chair and two (2) branded HP inverter AC.
