The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has apprehended two female suspects for stealing food,clothing and house hold items at Dawakin kudu local government area.

The commands spokesman Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, confirmed the incident to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

He pointed out that, the suspects were arrested after a tip off by good samaritans that, a group of women were engaged in house theft, at various locations in Dawakin kudu local government area.

Ibrahim explained that, the command immediately swung into action and succeeded in apprehending the suspects.

The public relations officer noted that,after careful scrutiny the two women Hadiza and Hajara, revealed the identity of the person, who purchase the stolen items from them.

He stressed that,the command has launched an intelligence investigation, to unravel the identity of other members of the cartel, and would hand them over to the court for necessary action.

Ibrahim reaffirmed NSCDs dedication in mitigating criminal activities in the state.

Speaking to radio Nigeria,the two suspects 30 year old Hadiza and 15 year old Hajara Umar, confessed to the crime and pleades for leniency.

They explained that, they use scissors to break locks, to gain entrance into peoples homes on several occasions.

Radio Nigeria reports that,few weeks ago,the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano command succeeded in apprehending 45 suspected criminals during a night Patrol within the state metropolis.
