NAWOJ Alerts Security Agencies On Fake Executive In Jigawa

The National Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ says it has alerted the relevant security agencies about the activities of some fake impersonators of the association in Jigawa state.

This is contained in a statement made available to Radio Nigeria in Dutse by the National Secretary of the Association, Hajiya Wasilah Ibrahim Ladan.

She explained that, the national leadership trust that the security agencies will take appropriate action to apprehend these individuals and bring them to justice.

According to her, the national secretariat NAWOJ has distance it self from Impersonators led by one Aisha Iliyasu Surko of Jigawa state Radio.

The national secretary hereby notify the general public, government officials,security agencies, media houses, NGOs, CSOs, and all relevant stakeholders in the state about the activities of unauthorized and desperate individuals who are falsely claiming to be the executive officers of the state NAWOJ.

She pointed out that, the National Secretariat of NAWOJ only recognizes the duly elected and sworn-in state officials, with Mrs. Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan serving as the State Chairperson,Fadila Baffa Abdulkadir as State Vice Chairperson, Zainab Baba Aliyu as State Secretary, Nafisa Hassan Abdullahi as State Asst. Secretary, Sadiya Inuwa Musa as State Financial Secretary, Halima Yusuf as State Treasurer and Zainab J. Chiroma as state Internal Auditor.

She said, any other individuals claiming to hold these positions are fake and should not be dealt with under any circumstances.

“It is important to note that these impersonators are unknown persons who are attempting to deceive the public and exploit the reputation of NAWOJ for personal gain”.

“The National Secretariat strongly advises against engaging with them or entering into any agreements or transactions with them”.

Wasilah added that, NAWOJ remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in the field of journalism.
