NEDC reiterates commitment to supporting health care sector in Gombe.

In a bid to support effective healthcare service delivery in the state, the North East Development commission NEDC Gombe office, has made a significant donation of healthcare equipments to the Gombe state ministry of health to improve the the well-being of citizens in the state.

The commission’s donation was officially presented to the Gombe state commissioner of health Dr. Habu Dahiru, at the ministry, in, Gombe.

The acting state Coordinator of the commission, Rufai Lawan Baba Manu said, the gesture is intended to help provide the much-needed medical healthcare facilities in the state and ensuring that patients have access to essential medications.

He added that, the commission have also intervened in donation of anti snake venom to the Gombe state ministry of health through the snake bites hospitals in Kaltungo local government area.

Baba Manu further stated that, the commission equally donated solar system to the state specialist hospital to reduce the challenges facing some key department such as gynecology unit, pediatric, admin block as well as the accident and emergency.

The acting state Coordinator reiterates the commission’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and economic growth in the state.

While speaking, the state commissioner ministry of health Dr. Habu Dahiru expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the NEDC, saying he looks forward to a continued partnership in promoting public health of the people of the state.

He said, the commission’s timely donation of the facilities will serve as a beacon of hope for the patients and the healthcare sector, and therefore, assured that the facilities will be used judiciously to improve the quality of healthcare delivery in the state.
