The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Alhaji Sani Usman, has been honoured with the Human Duties Ambassador Award by Junior Chamber International, JCI, in recognition of his service to humanity.

The award, conferred by the 2025 President of JCI Bauchi City, Mr Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, celebrates the Rector’s commitment to education, youth development, philanthropy, and transformative leadership.

The recognition coincided with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, between the Polytechnic and JCI Bauchi City to revitalise the dormant JCIN FPTB collegiate chapter.

The ceremony which held at the Rector’s Office, brought together JCI executives and polytechnic management to reaffirm their commitment to student leadership, entrepreneurship, and community service.

Mr Taiwo described the Rector’s honour as a tribute to his enduring impact on society, while noting that the partnership would groom future leaders driven by integrity and purpose.

JCIN FPTB Patron, Mr Hassan Alhaji Hassan, said JCI Nigeria would offer technical and moral support to the chapter, adding that the collaboration was strategic and long-term.

The Polytechnic’s Director of Public Relations, Alhaji Mohammed Rabiu Wada, welcomed the move as timely, pledging institutional backing for student-led initiatives in line with the institution’s goals.
